Chicago Jet Group Receives Aircraft Model List (AML) STC for Latitude’s Satellite Data Unit. Latitude's DL150 Satellite Data Unit Chicago Jet Group (CJG), the premier installation and training facility for Next Generation Satellite Services (NGSS) including CPDLC for FANS 1/A+ and ATN, has received FAA approval of AML STC ST03262-CH for complete FANS 1/A+ system installations that incorporate the Latitude DL150 Satellite Data Unit (SDU) onto 12 additional business jet models. The STC is based on the Universal Avionics Systems Corporation SBAS Flight Management system and uses the Latitude DL150 SDU as the CPDLC/ADS-C data link. The STC is approved for CPDLC operations using FANS 1/A+ and meets the PCBS requirements for RCP240 and RSP180. The Chicago Jet Group FAA AML STC is EASA approved with Canadian and ANAC approvals expected in the next two months. Specific models under this STC are Falcon 50/50EX/2000/2000EX, Gulfstream G-100/G-II/G-III//G-V and Bombardier Challenger 600/601/604. TSO Awarded for Latitude’s ATS Safety SATVOICE Solution

Latitude Technologies, the premier global supplier of flight data management, flight following, and satcom solutions for fleet operators, has received Transport Canada CAN-TSO Design Approval AP-106 for the company’s S200-012 ATS Safety Voice System. The S200-012 is approved to TSO-C159b "Next Generation Satellite Systems (NGSS) equipment" recognized by Transport Canada, FAA and EASA. The S200-012 utilizes the Iridium® satellite network to provide global pole-to-pole coverage and meets the airworthiness fitment guidelines of AC 20-150B for SATVOICE equipment for Long Range Communication Systems (LRCS). At just 1.7 lbs., the S200-012 interfaces to an aircraft’s communication system and supports dual MCDU interfaces, or Latitude’s own low-profile CDU dialer. The latter option is well suited to legacy aircraft without ARINC-739 MCDUs.  Regardless of the user interface method selected, all ICAO and FAA recommended SATVOICE functions including Call Priority and ATS/AOC directories are supported by the S200-012.
