Latitude SATCOM adds EASA STC for Bombardier Dash-8 Aircraft

Latitude Technologies, the premier global supplier of flight data monitoring, flight following, and satcom solutions has received EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) on Bombardier’s Dash-8 model aircraft for all Latitude SkyNode SATCOM models, including the latest Safety Services Voice TSO’d S200-012 ATS system. The STC also supports the installation of the IONode Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) system, which is capable of providing fully automated data gathering and distribution, real-time alerting for flight operations and maintenance quality assurance including fuel management programs. Latitude is excited to expand their system capabilities into the European community and its member states. Bombardier’s Dash-8 aircraft, which have been in circulation for over 30 years, are a series of twin-engine, medium range, turboprop airliners that operate with a focus on improved cruise performance and low operational costs. Chicago Jet Group Receives Aircraft Model List (AML) STC for Latitude’s Satellite Data Unit. Latitude's DL150 Satellite Data Unit Chicago Jet Group (CJG), the premier installation and training facility for Next Generation Satellite Services (NGSS) including CPDLC for FANS 1/A+ and ATN, has received FAA approval of AML STC ST03262-CH for complete FANS 1/A+ system installations that incorporate the Latitude DL150 Satellite Data Unit (SDU) onto 12 additional business jet models. The STC is based on the Universal Avionics Systems Corporation SBAS Flight Management system and uses the Latitude DL150 SDU as the CPDLC/ADS-C data link. The STC is approved for CPDLC operations using FANS 1/A+ and meets the PCBS requirements for RCP240 and RSP180. The Chicago Jet Group FAA AML STC is EASA approved with Canadian and ANAC approvals expected in the next two months.
