Latitude Allowed Patent for EFBs and other Applications to Control SATCOM

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued a Notice of Allowance for Patent Application No. 14/762,188 for Latitude Technologies’ “Wireless Software Dialer and Messaging Head” invention. The patent covers systems and methods for an independent device to control an aircraft Satcom to make phone calls or transfer data with the ground.

“This patent recognizes our team effort to advance connectivity between flight crews and ground-based dispatch and maintenance operations,” says Tim Curtis, VP of Information Services, “and it will become a focal point for partnering on new airborne applications that improve flight safety and efficiency.”
